I found a cool utility on MS Research today called Groupbar. Basically, it’s like the normal taskbar, except for that you can take windows and group them, so that it adds an extra button that controls the group. It’s really handy, and I’ve already replaced the standard taskbar with it, moving the regular Start menu to the top of the screen. Not by coincidence, it mirrors a certain freedom-based desktop environment.
