How to update your BIOS without a floppy

I found this today, after trying to deal with U’s annoying laptop ACPI problems (the BIOS is so broken that Linux won’t even boot without acpi=off). Basically you download a FreeDOS floppy disk image, add the files you need, then use it to create a CD ISO. This is even worth it for Windows people who can always keep a LiveCD around to avoid digging out a crappy floppy drive.

Here’s the link, via linux.inet.hr

Update: I decided that referring to “my girlfriend” all the time sounds lame. So I’ll follow the Internet trend and use the first letter. Hooray for Internet trends.
